Like all public policies and development, those aiming at reducing climate change will be more efficient if they include gender equality. The consequences of climate change could have different consequences on women and men, whether in term of social status, their ability to make decisions or access to resources. Women can contribute to the mitigation or the adaptation to the climate change depending on the context.
