This article discusses whether the International conventions for human rights, and especially those aimed at Women, are effective in cases of armed conflicts. It focuses on cases of civil wars and internal conflicts, such as the case of Libya. It analysis the application of the first and second The Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907, the Geneva Conventions and thef UN Security Council resolutions 1325 and 2242.
