Alain Piot shows for a number of years women’s stigmatization. He has been looking in the persecution of witches since the 15th century until the 17th, the cultural and religious roots of women’s "demonization". Then, in a more recent book, he analysed the current expressions of misogyny, spiral which takes from contempt to violence. He analyses here a kind of violence which is particularly dehumanizing, prostitution.
