This study examines how academia and higher education are dealing with the gender dimension, it focuses on 8 case studies: The University of Tirana; the University of Sofia; Macedonia; Moldova State University; Central European University; the University of Bucharest; Serbia. The study questions if it is possible to move from studying gender as a topic, towards real mainstreaming of gender and gender neutralizing within curricula across all disciplines in Europe. The study compares the situation in the previous cases, and gives guidelines for promoting gender-Inclusive curriculum in higher education.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
