Since March 2014, the French Development Agency (AFD) has adopted a new cross-cutting intervention framework (CIT) on gender and the reduction of gender inequalities in its operations under the Gender and Development Strategy 2013-2017 of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Within this framework, this document provides generic and sectoral tools, including tools for gender mainstreaming in education, vocational training and employment.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
