This study discuss the inequalities between women and men in many fields such as education, labour market, living conditions, and the representation in the different spheres of society. These inequalities varies in form from one region to another in France. The study concludes that in Brittany girls and boys have the closest academic results, while Ile-de-France is the region with the smallest gaps in the labour market, with the exception of remuneration. On the contrary, in the overseas departments, wage gaps between women and men are much less than in the homeland, but unemployment rates differ more.
