The modernization of the Spanish University promoted at the institutional level by the "Universidad.es" Foundation within the framework of the "2015 Strategy" aims at transforming it into a knowledge society actor on the basis of two fundamental pillars: excellence and internationalization. The internationalization of the University has resulted in the growing presence of foreign researchers in Spain. This presence is motivated by various factors: personal, academic, professional, social, economic and even political, as in the case of refugees. The AINVEX (Association of Foreign Researchers of the University of Granada) aims to promote the full integration of foreign researchers in their academic and professional environment. To do this, it carries out a set of training, counselling and mediation activities. AINVEX has set itself the challenge of encouraging the transfer of knowledge between researchers of different nationalities for the effective internationalization of research and a real globalization of knowledge. The development of effective strategies for the integration of foreign researchers favours both the University and the researcher himself and has the effect of improving the quality and scientific productivity of the country.
