This Gender Index includes all references to gender, women, girls, gender equality, violence against women, and women’s participation made in statements delivered during the general debate of the seventy-first session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA). It also provides a gender-specific assessment of the references to specific country situations and determines the number of female speakers.
