In Morocco, social stigma, norms and traditions, and legal discrimination, marginalize unwed mothers and their children born out of wedlock, and impact on their ability to obtain official identity papers.This reportexamines some of the Moroccan non-governmental organization (NGO) initiatives that promote the rights these mothers, and provide them with the legal aid and empowerment.
