This guide addresses those working in research and higher education institutions, such as: research and teaching staff; human resources, administrative and support staff; middle and top level management. It aims at mainstreaming gender and promoting gender equality structural change, in Academia and research.It includes: A step-by-step guide on the process to set up, implement, monitor and evaluate gender equality plans. an action toolbox with concrete examples of actions to be designed and implemented within a gender equality plan, advocacy arguments, background information about the EU and national legislation and policies supporting gender equality in research, and key resources that can support the structural change process.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
