On 26 April 2007, the European social partners BUSINESSEUROPE, UEAPME, CEEP and ETUC signed an autonomous framework agreement on violence and harassment at work which requires that the member federations of signatory parties to cooperate on the improvement of working conditions by establishing and promoting mechanisms identify, prevent and manage problems of harassment and violence occurring at the workplace. This study examines the progress since the signature of the autonomous framework agreement to the present, with careful consideration of the monitoring carried out by social partners between 2007 and 2010 and their implementation report presented in 2011.
