Without pretending to be an exhaustive study of the associative fabric in the rural environment, this report concerns the participation of women in the associative movement. Its objective is to identify the weaknesses and strengths of rural women's associations and the challenges and opportunities they face in their intervention, including administrative and political contexts. The diagnosis raises the importance of supporting these associations while taking into account the great social, cultural and economic diversity that the rural environment presents in Algeria.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
