This toolkit is designed in order to support the provision of medico-legal services to victims of sexual violence, especially at low-resource and conflict-affected settings. It aims at improving the coordination between the range of actors and sectors involved in prevention of, and response to, sexual violence;these include: health services, social services, forensic medicine, forensic lab services, police/investigation, and the legal system, including lawyers and judges.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
