This study gives a gender analysis of women´s access to HIV/AIDS programmes and services in Jordan and Yemen. It aims at identifying whether gender norms may increase women´s vulnerability to acquire HIV, and have a negative impact on access to and quality of experience of HIV/AIDS programmes and services. The study is based on interviews with beneficiaries of HIV services and programmes, in addition to HIV service providers. The data generated from the analysis can be used by programme managers and policy-makers to strengthen the gender-responsiveness of HIV programming and HIV-related policies in the Region.
