This report is a collection of articles of an interdisciplinary group of scholars who were invited to attend a workshop on important issues related to women’s public political participation. Within the Project on Middle East Political Science, this study highlights and deepens specific aspects affecting women’s participation after the Arab uprising like: Islamist movements, discourses of nationalism and citizenship, patterns of state development and cultural norms of patriarchy.
