This report provides an overview on gender studies and research on women’s issues in Tunisia, a still recent social phenomenon in the country. It sheds the lights on the developments done in the field of education and women’s presence in the university after Beijing 1995 feminists’ theories. Hence, its analyses three main axis: women in the professional and economic life, the relationship between the woman and her own body and sexuality; and finally women’s participation in social movements.
