This paper casts light on the work of Mediterranean Network of Information and Communication with a Gender Perspective, which was created in 2007 to give more visibility to women in the media. It explains the concept of journalism with gender perspective, and details some of the activities and objectives of the network, such as: giving a voice to women journalists and communicators in the countries of the Arab revolutions; fighting gender stereotypes; and making pacifist movement in defence of human rights and women’s rights.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
