This kit on the role of women in preventing violent extremism (PVE) is designed to help and guide activists and practitioners to engage in reflection and dialogue on violent extremism, and to bring awareness to the particular roles of women and women’s organizations in dealing with violent extremist ideologies. The kit includes exercises and experts´ opinions. Its main sections are: 1) the question of gender and why it is important to consider both men and women when addressing violent extremism; 2) women and the dynamics of extremist violence; 3) engaging communities in PVE.
