The Association of Organisations of Mediterranean Businesswomen (AFAEMME) organizes an annual encounter for women entrepreneurs and businesswomen (-and men) from the Mediterranean region: the Mediterranean Women Entrepreneurs Forum. This year's edition took place last April 28th in Cairo (Egypt) and was organized by AFAEMME together with the Egyptian Business Women Association EBWA) and the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce (ASCAME). The main conclusions of the Forum are summarized in the "Conclusions of the VIII MEDA Women Entrepreneurs Forum". This document provides data about the state of play, as well as observations and recommendations.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
