This Monitoring Report is a result of a research using a mixed method approach to collect data from a sample of UN Women beneficiaries, predominantly females. A key focus of the monitoring was to assess the impact of UN Women’s programs on women’s empowerment in Za’atari refugee camp. It furthermore puts the attention on women’s ability to meet their basic needs, shedding the light on the situation of female refugees living in Za’atari – both the key issues and challenges they face and the entry points for support and empowerment.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
