This analysis presents 12 successful practices in advocacy and policy dialogue pertaining to gender equality, developed in the Euro-Mediterranean region.With the aim to foster the transfer of the lessons learnt, this analysis proposes approaches and tools (grassroots mobilization, capacity-building, lobbying, international human rights mechanisms…) to mobilize policy makers and public opinion in favor of women’s rights. Furthermore, the analysis is based on eight components: background, scope and objectives, strategies, operations and activities, partnerships and engaging stakeholders, impact, critical factors for success and lastly lessons learned. This overview provides a tool to outline critical success factors that can be useful for all those actors willing to engage in policy dialogue and advocacy for gender equality.
