This article focuses on the issue of child marriage and its negative effects on girl´s health, education, economics and vulnerability to spousal violence.It gives data and information on child marriage in the MENA region, explaining the factors that negatively contribute to this phenomenon and the measures needed to stop it, whilst promoting gender equality and empowering women.
