This report highlights the increased risks women and girls in conflict and post-conflict settings face. It also focuses on the urgent need for sexual and reproductive healthcare services in these situations, such as ante-natal care for pregnant women, access to contraceptive information and services and access to safe abortion and post-abortion care, especially for victims of rape and sexual assaults. It emphasizes the need to a reproductive health information and services, to achieve an effective humanitarian response and to fulfil human rights obligations.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
