This article gives a gender based approach to better understand the difference between male and female entrepreneurial intentions in the Egyptian culture. It is based on a fieldwork qualitative research made of interviews with 320 Egyptian French-speaking students in Egypt.The article analyses and compares both female and male views on entrepreneurship in Egypt, their motivations, confidence, awareness of the obstacles and opportunities…etc.This study, thought as a completion of previous studies done on the same subject, seeks to offer an overview on the trends and gender related issues of entrepreneurship in Egypt and the imbalance between men and women’s entrepreneurial motivations.
