Arab Women still face persistent inequality rooted in discriminatory laws and constitutions. There is still a huge gender gap in economic, political and social rights. This study highlights the status of women´s access to justice in the Arab Region and examines the available legal protection for women in the Arab countries. It assesses legislation, including constitutional rights, Personal Status codes and labour codes on issues and concerns that impact women’s socio-economic and political development. It also addresses barriers to women’s access to justice and strategies, approaches and good practices related to this issue.
