This publication summarizes the activities which took place under “The Verb in Feminine” project which was conducted between 2007 and 2008 by the Forum Femmes Méditerranée (France), the Democratic League for Women ‘s Rights, the Information and Observation Centre for Moroccan women (CIOFEM), Women in Communication, Amusnaw association, the Black Spring Women Collective (Algeria), other partners as Madrid city (Spain) and the UNESCO centre for peace in the Balkans (Greece). The project was funded by Anna Lindh Foundation. The activities included writing and expression workshops and a yearly story competition. The winners were invited to Marseille to receive their prizes and attend intercultural meetings and a literature conference. The publication brings visibility to the diversity of women writings in the Euro – Mediterranean region.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
