This guide targets professionals and specialists working at monitoring the electoral process and political participation in Egypt, in order to include the gender perspective into their work. This manual aims at Gender Mainstreaming in the electoral process, according to the Egyptian law and electoral system. It provides information about the case of Egypt, and other facts and numbers about women in Egyptian Parliament, and the difficulties and factors that limits women’s political participation. The guide offers an analysis of the social, economic, cultural and political relations that affect all social groups, and especially women.
