This Convention seeks to create the conditions for schools to channel equality between girls and boys message at all levels and it helps modify the gendered division of roles in society. It is structured around three priority fields of action: acquiring and transmitting a culture of gender equality; strengthening education for mutual respect and equality; committing to greater mixed training systems at all study levels. This Convention is expected to be regularly assessed by a steering committee bringing together representatives from the six signatory ministries, qualified experts and associations, to transform the guidance in specific actions and monitor the outcomes.
