Sabanci University, in partnership with Egon Zehnder International Turkey, launched the project “Independent Women Directors” to help enterprises prioritise women when they appoint independent directors. The project also seeks to make them aware of the benefits of having both men and women in their boardrooms. The report revises the political measures and initiatives taken to increase the presence of women in the management of the enterprises and their access to senior roles. It provides extensive data to analyse women’s participation in the boardrooms of Turkish enterprises and the obstacles they encounter to achieve it.
