This report examines men’s practices in several fields of social life using qualitative and quantitative data, such as their involvement in domestic work and children’s education, political participation or violence. It also addresses the status of women and the models and roles linked to gender in Portugal. It is based on the realisation that men have recently become the subject of public debate and have been taken into account by public policies to improve women’s conditions.
