This law on gender equality in Montenegro came into force on 8 August 2007. It regulates the method of providing and implementing the rights of men and women on the basis of gender equality in accordance with international regulations and general rules of international law, as well as measures to eliminate discrimination based on gender and the establishment of equal opportunities for women and men in all fields of social life.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
