This report describes the measures taken by the Government of Luxembourg to ensure the integral and effective implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). The recommendations issued by the Committee during the examination of the fourth implementation report in January 2003 have been integrated into the Luxembourg legislation as shown by the Government Declaration of 4 August 2004 by the Government of Luxembourg and the National Plan of Action for Gender Equality adopted by the Council of Government in 2006.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
