This report concerns the legislative and administrative measures taken by the British government between 2007 and 2011 to give effect to the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). They include the changes introduced by the 2010 Equality Act and the main elements of the Government’s Equality Strategy “Building a Fairer Britain", published in December 2010.
