The report examines the presence of women in decision-making bodies. As in the 2008 report, many of them have been examined in order to measure women’s representation in senior positions. Numerous indicators enable the evolution of the presence of women at the top of companies, the political world, judicial power, federal authorities, the army and the academic authorities to be measured as well as workers’ organisations and employers’ associations, the self-employed, the media and NGOs. Finally, the report monitors gender-related initiatives made to encourage the presence of women in senior positions, such as the establishment of quotas.
