This survey addresses the issue of women’s control over economic and financial resources, including microfinance. Women’s access to resources is examined in a broad sense, including resources generated at a national level through budgets, trade and development assistance, financial services such as savings, credit, remittance transfer and insurance, employment, land, property and social protection. It provides specific recommendations in these fields in order to have equitable access for women and control economic and financial resources.
