This document is a roadmap that seeks to guide the planning of equality policies in Latvia. It describes the country's acts, policies and commitments as well as the EU legal documents and policies providing a framework for the preparation of this plan. It puts forward measures in the following areas: minimisation of gender roles and stereotypes, promotion of a healthy and environmentally-friendly lifestyle of women and men, promotion of economic independence and equal opportunities for men and women in the labour market.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
