Sweden's development cooperation policy aims to increase the influence of women and achieve greater respect for their rights in developing countries. To this end, the country will focus its efforts on four fields: participation in political life; economic empowerment and working conditions; sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR); and women's security, including all forms of gender-based violence and human trafficking.
