This plan is a development document to implement a gender policy in Montenegro. It is based on the legal framework and the general situation of gender equality. The plan is adopted for the nine priority fields in the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action: women's rights, gender responsive education, economy, health, gender-based violence, the media and culture, and equality in decision-making in political and public life.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
