This report, prepared within the framework of the European Commission initiative "Equality Pays Off", examines the participation of women in employment and occupation. It addresses several aspects, including part-time work, qualification level and women's choice of education and their under or overrepresentation in some sectors of the economy. It analyses the pay gaps between men and women and introduces some strategies aimed at improving women's employment opportunities in companies.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
