This report describes the gender equality policies, practices and legislation in Denmark. It addresses women's economic independence, work and family life reconciliation policies, participation in decision-making, gender-based violence, gender stereotypes and gender equality in development policies. Increased attention has been paid in recent years to ethnic minorities and to men’s role in the promotion of equality.
