This report focuses on the existing gender equality legislation and programmes in Turkey. This issue is particularly important in this country for monitoring norms and achievements of the European Union. The main challenges in this respect are violence against women, equal opportunities in the workplace, paid and unpaid labour, hidden forms of discrimination, and access to political decision-making and representation.
