The objective of this study is to assess the prevalence of gender-based violence (GBV) to better identify its scope in nine EU Southern Neighbourhood countries. The study examines the existing legal and institutional frameworks, the national strategies and action plans adopted in the countries, and the main civil society organisations' contributions to fight against GBV. Finally, it provides a summary of the most important outcomes and examples of good practices.
