This document corresponds to the first complete action programme on violence against women adopted by Greece. It takes into consideration most of the dimensions of violence against women (legal, psychosocial, economic, health, link with human rights) and deals with trafficking, domestic violence, homicides against women, honour killing and women's abuse. This programme comprises actions such as the creation of consultation centres and shelters in the capital of each region, the establishment of a nationwide SOS telephone line and the development of information campaigns to prevent violence.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
