This document examines the legislation and the institutions established by the Baltic countries to reduce gender inequalities and ensure equal opportunities for women and men. It focuses on access to employment, discrimination in the labour market, human trafficking and other key issues bearing in mind the neo-liberal model adopted by the Baltic republics after the dissolution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR).
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
