This report offers a view of the evolution of equality legislation and policies in Greece since the 1980s in the fields of employment, professional life-private life reconciliation, decision-making, health, and violence against women. The achievements and gains before 2009 are threatened by the current recession, the most serious experienced by the country since the end of World War II. Thus, the report pays special attention to the aspects of equality most affected by the austerity measures.
