This document provides an updated panorama on gender equality in Croatia since 2011. It reviews the history of the institutional and political development in this field, notably the measures taken in terms of women's economic empowerment, reconciliation of family and professional life, decision-making, combating violence against women, and the fight against stereotypes. Moreover, two sensitive issues are addressed, namely prostitution and health and sexual rights.

This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
