This document reviews the laws and institutions concerning gender equality as well as the progress at a political level in Cyprus. The document mainly addresses the six following areas: women's economic independence, reconciliation of private and professional life, equal representation of women and men in decision-making, eradication of all forms of violence against women, elimination of gender stereotype and, finally, women's healthcare and sexual and reproductive rights.
