This annual report presents the strategies and the measures adopted by governments and social partners to close the gender pay gap. A large range of actions are reviewed: legislation on provisions and practices regarding pay; specific action plans; monitoring tools and reports, and so on. These practices developed at a national, local or sectoral level are aimed at key players, such as private and public employers, social partners and organizations promoting equality. The report focuses on pay systems as well as the indirect cause of the gender pay gap.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
