In the preparation of the ad hoc expert-meetings provided for in the Istanbul Euro-Mediterranean Ministerial Declaration on women, the European Commission proposed an annual survey that was sent to all partner countries, for the periods 2006-2007, 2007-2008 and 2008-2009. The report is based on the contents of the three reports established based on the responses to three annual questionnaires and identifies the main trends derived from the policies, programmes, measures and actions aimed at strengthening the role of women in society, indicated by the Euro-Mediterranean partner countries. The report also points out the action priorities defined by each country in this field.
