This report focuses on three articles of the Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW): article 11 on equal rights to employment, article 12 on equal rights of access to health services and article 16 on equal rights in marriage and family relations. It forms part of the framework of a project by the Alliance for Arab Women aimed at monitoring the implementation of the first two articles in several villages in Egypt. The project has made it possible to consult women to assess the quality of the health services, working conditions and employment opportunities provided by the government.
This platform is part of the Axis 1 "Strengthening the capacities of equality actors" of the Priority Solidarity Fund "Women for the future in the Mediterranean" funded by the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and led by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in the framework of the project “Developing Women's Empowerment” labelled by the Union for the Mediterranean.
